INSTRUCTIONS TO BS CHEMISTRY AND BS AGRICULTURAL CHEMISTRY STUDENTS RE PLAN OF STUDY (for 1st Sem AY 2020-2021)
A. BS Chemistry students – incoming juniors in the First Semester, 2020-2021 (Batch 2018) and those who belong to earlier batches but have no thesis adviser yet
1. Download the following from the IC website
a) Plan of Study form for BS Chemistry students
b) List of Chemistry electives
c) Redesigned BS Chemistry curriculum
d) CUIC Form 1 (either Word or PDF file is ok)
e) List of Prospective Advisers
f) Research Info about IC Faculty Members
2. Accomplish CUIC Form 1. Using the list of prospective advisers and the research information about some IC faculty members, you are expected to interview three prospective advisers regarding their research interests before making your choice of a thesis adviser. Once accepted by your chosen thesis adviser, submit the accomplished CUIC Form 1 to Ms. Angelica Jane B. Roxas at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (Faculty in charge of Thesis Monitoring) for approval. All these should be done within the period August 1 to 6, 2020.
3. Once your choice of thesis adviser is approved, you should accomplish the Plan of Study form with guidance from your chosen thesis adviser and with reference to the redesigned BS Chemistry curriculum. You need to indicate the courses that you want to take as your electives (1 non-Chem and 2 Chem courses). The accomplished Plan of Study form, signed by you and your thesis adviser, should be submitted through email to Asst Prof Korina Vida G. Sinad (IC Coordinator for Instruction) at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. on or before 12 noon of August 9, 2020. Failure to submit a Plan of Study means that you will not be allowed to register any non-Chemistry or Chemistry courses that are not indicated in your redesigned BS Chemistry curriculum.
B. I. BS Agricultural Chemistry students who belong to batches before 2018 and still have no thesis advisers
1. Download the following from the IC website
a) Plan of Study form for BS Agricultural Chemistry students
b) Redesigned BS Agricultural Chemistry curriculum
c) CUIC Form 1 (either Word or PDF file is ok)
d) List of Prospective Advisers
e) Research Info about IC Faculty Members
2. Accomplish CUIC Form 1.
