A total of 44 out of 48 examinees from the Institute of Chemistry (IC) successfully passed the Chemist Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission in Manila last September 16 and 17, 2014. With a 91.67% passing rate, UPLB was named as the 2nd top performing school.
"We are very pleased and proud of the performance of our graduates. The 2014 batch is the biggest group of examinees. The Institute is anticipating more examinees next time. We are confident that are graduates will serve our country and the world with integrity," said IC Director Dr. Hidelisa P. Hernandez.
Out of 705 who took the exam, 421 passed, resulting to a 59.72% national passing rate. New chemists will take their aoth before the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines at the Manila Hotel on November 5, 2014.
